I don’t always agree with our caring lawyer on game blame and such but he was pretty spot on yesterday in an observation that became pretty obvious - why keep rushing 3???

Mason totally shit the bed yesterday and he absolutely has to pull 2 gems out of his ass to get out of this doghouse. Yes this one game was that bad.

The oline, the recievers, bo even. We knew they would be iffy. A work in progress. Ebb n flow. Whatever you Wanna call it. But this defensive collapse yesterday was 100% inexcusable. It was as bad as I’ve ever seen. There is no way to sugar coat it.

Yes there were some bad calls - especially the targeting. But that d got almost 0 pressure on Rogers. And the other 8 guys we had that were not rushing - could not somehow cover 4 msu recievers. It’s bewildering. Once leach found it, he went in dry. And it got ugly quickly. Mason had nothing.

It’s disheartening.

One step up and 2 steps back…sigh.

And this is ALL on Mason in my book. Sure, we should have scored in the 2nd half. But we didn’t. So what? The o gave them a 3 plus td lead.

And it turns out Bo was playing on a broken ankle for part of the second half. Point is, Bo balled out. Big numbers and did screw up a few times, granted.

But I’m saying this one is on Mason. That defense meltdown is FURKED UP. Sickening. No excuse.

So Bo is having ankle surgery tomorrow? Hurt in the 1st quarter and hurt it even worse in the 4th? Also heard that Anders has tore his ACL and MCL in his left leg from the onside kick and Shenkner is being checked out to make sure he didn't break his collar bone again.

So it's the TJ show, possibly a new kicker and possibly missing a TE right before USC and the IB! Fuck if that isn't the most Auburn thing to ever happen.

I saw somewhere that with Nix and Carlson done for the season, something like 81% of our scoring offense is not on the field. Ms. Finley's son and Tank need to sack up for these last three and produce like rabbits in heat if we are gonna end the skid into the ditch this season.

Problem we have is that he could do just fine. He may. He could lead the O to 5 TDs and 400 yards passing. He could throw at a 70-80% completion clip - and the way our D is playing - it could very well not be enough. Ya know....last like Saturday.

This is what bumfuzzled me all day Saturday. The guy had 40 fricking completions going into the 4th, and not once did Mason ever change it up. But honestly, our D looked skippy against Hobby Lobby, A&M and Arky. Then, he faces an offense he knows is going to sling it around, and goes full tard. You never go full tard. He did.

The offensive personnel are getting a bit of a pass from me this year, as they're getting coaching for the first time in their collegiate careers.

The defense, however, we've seen perform at championship levels...so the failures have to be due to coaching/scheme. Which is odd, given Mason's esteem as a defensive coach. Are there too many cooks in the kitchen on that side of the ball?

Seeing as the cock coach said they only ran about two plays I’d say no our much is cooking.
