GAME POSTPONED (Miss. State Week Thread)
« on: November 08, 2020, 10:38:02 AM »

EDIT: Mutts have too much COVIDs. Game moved to Dec. 12 for now.

Kind of hate that the bye week hit as Auburn seems to have figured out what to do following the throttling of LSU. Doesn't matter much though because Mississippi State flat out sucks blue whale's grandfather.Between Head Coach Mike Leach calling out players, the fanbase, and the inept way his offense performs in the face of even slight opposition, you have the recipe for another humiliating loss for the Bullpups. The folks in Starkville better decide quick if they want to stay on this course.

Unless Gus and co. dial up the stupid, I get a sense we'll win by a bunch and no one will notice.

Leach does well with his kids. What is at MSU is not what he usually gets. He’ll get a few of his type of players and his O will be competitive. We’ve seen how good it is when the QB is on.

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

That's true but once his run is over you have to totally re-tool the offense (and defense because that suffers in the Air Raid) like you were coming out of the flexbone. Miss. State better be in it for the long haul or they will take up decade-long residence as doormat in the SEC West.

Yep...it's like hiring Paul Johnson: you have to fully commit to the triple option.

Luckily, Gus and Co have figured some shit out and this year's iteration of the Starkville Mutts stands no chance.

I saw the Sec Network recap show Sunday morning with Doering and The Chizit. They said Miss State gave up 350 yards to Vandy - IN THE 2ND HALF.....They also said Miss State gained 0 yards in the 4th quarter. I didn't verify either but sheeeesh, that's awful.

Game postponed due to COVID issues with the Starkvillians.
https://auburntigers.com/news/2020/11/9/auburn-at-mississippi-state-football-game-postponed.aspx

The Auburn at Mississippi State football game of November 14 has been postponed due to positive tests and subsequent quarantining of individuals within the Mississippi State football program, consistent with Southeastern Conference COVID-19 management requirements. The game has been tentatively rescheduled for Dec. 12.

I'm wondering if we could hire COVIDS as our coach?

They certainly know how to sideline entire teams
