Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

I'm not chest-beating or calling anyone out for a fight.  I know most of you and would do that to your face if I were inclined to fisticuffs.

I'm just saying that giving up a lifelong source of entertainment because of some peripheral shit that doesn't affect the game itself is some whiney assed, titty baby shit.
No, it's called being an adult and not watching a bunch of people who thrive in the very existence they claim to be against.  In all seriousness, how many professional athletes would be able to manage a day to day blue collar job?  If not for their God given talent of being able to catch, shoot or throw a ball, most would be draining the government of it's resources.

A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America ' for an amount of 'up to and including my life.' That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.'

I'm just not going to give them any ratings points.  Same reason I don't watch any bammer games other than the Iron Bowl.  That's my definition of a peaceful protest.

Maybe I should just destroy property instead.

Ooooo, that sounds nice.

Wait....I mean....

Spurts is starting back up.  Definitely not the same vibe without fans, but some of it, even golf, is worth the watch just to see a sporting event I don't already know the outcome of.  MLB did some kneeling and tributes to BLM (Hey, that's MLB backwards) but as far as I can tell, they've pretty much moved on and playing ball.  I've watched a good bit of the Bravos the last week.

The NFL made a contribution of $250 large to BLM.  I imagine there will be some tributes and stuff as well, but I do expect them to also get back to focusing on the product on the field.

The NBA is another story.  They're balls deep.  It's BLM in your face from start to finish.  I think they have to be more than any other sport. 75% plus of their players are black and they thrive solely on marketing individual stars.  It's not, "Watch the Lakers battle the Rockets."  Instead, you get, "See Lebron and James Harden go head to head."  They've done a great job marketing themselves that way, but you let those superstars walk because they don't think the league is pacifying them enough....it's a straight downward spiral.

I'm adamantly opposed to the methods of BLM.  I could go on for a couple of pages, but there's no need.  So the NBA's product right now is a huge turn off to me.  Plus, being in bed with a Communist country that commits 1,000X the atrocities on its own people than those claimed by BLM in the U.S. kind of seals the deal for me with that league.

Look, it's all huge business.  They're going to do whatever it takes to keep the ship upright and running smooth so the billions will continue to flow.  It's been said many times that the NFL is owned/run by a bunch of crotchety old white guys.  Do you think they really wanted to throw those millions at BLM?  Nope.  But they did what they did to preserve the status quo.  Each of us can decide whether or not we want to watch their product.

I don't know the last time I sat and watched the NBA.  There are no rules to the game anymore with them.  They get like 7 steps, barely get touched and they flop, it's a joke. Only time it comes on is when my boys turn it on and then I just find something else to do.  The only people that watch the NBA anymore have the same mindset of Wes.
