Perusing the bookfaces and a site simply called "Auburn Football" (They look official and everything) listed their Top 10 All Decade Defensive team. As with all opinion lists, there's plenty of room to question, and this one is no different.
D-linemen: Derrick Brown and Nick Fairly.
Linebackers: Deshaun Davis, Josh Bynes and Cass McKinzy
D-backs: Jermaine Whitehead, Rudy Ford, Chris Davis, Carlton Davis and Noah Igbonagobaneez
Why only 2 big boys in the trenches? Could Carl Lawson and Dee Ford not make the cut? As for linebackers, I guess these are okay because when you think about it, we haven't exactly been Linebacker U over the last decade. Not getting the Rudy Ford pick. Did he have 12 interceptions that I forgot about? And Chris Davis....you'll always be #11 in our program, #1 in our heart forever. But I don't recall anything special about his work in the backfield either.
Anyone you think was left out or shouldn't be on the list? Correct my misremembrance on Ford and Davis if they did proper work.
