The more I hear, the more I think it will be a mewt point.  I really don't think the Covids are going to allow the footballs.  All I keep hearing are new, daily record numbers of cases.  I'm actually in the camp of those that feel that's only because there's an ass load more testing going on, so naturally, you're going to see a big spike.  I believe a ton of people have it but it's simply not going to affect the vast majority of young, healthy people.  But that will have no bearing on it.  If the numbers continue to rise, I don't see them playing.

And gays, Muslims, and Bama..  but not in that order.

I suspect you are right, Snags.  Media fearporn will take College Football 2020 from us.  And if no college football, and assuming a vaccine late this year, the only sport I see anyone playing is men's basketball...  since football funds the other sports.
