I was in New Orleans a few months ago. I really like the city and the vibe down there. But, the reality is, it's a trashy, filthy place.
Now Atlanta I love. Yeah, as huge a city as it is, there's no shortage of slums and crap and downright wickedness. Wickedness I tell ya'. But damn, there's so much to do there. Every sporting even under the sun, concerts out the yang yang, killer restaurants etc. They even have these places where, for a nominal cover charge, you can talk to hot girls who don't have any clothes on. Imagine that. For a few dollars more, they'll even dance on your lap.
With you. Actually love Atlanta. I’ve been to quite a few large cities and it’s one of the better ones. Being in some shady areas Of Miami, San Antonio, Chicago, philly, Baltimore really makes you appreciate Atlanta more. I hit up Pittsburgh last summer on work travel and was very impressed there too. Very clean, people were very nice. Lots of cool things to explore. Except both of the main sports venues are mustard yellow across the River. But their baseball park is top damn notch. Too bad the team in it isn’t.
Only real “bad†area (unless you’ve been sheltered your whole life in private white suburbs) is the southwest side around East point, union city and college park. Even though it makes for a longer drive coming from the south, the move to put the Braves in Cobb was brilliant. The Ted was entirely too close to the edge of the southwest side of town.
