The hoopla over this jackass defecting to FUGA is obviously reedonkulus. However, I will say that it's further evidence that Kirby is trying to mimic Lord Saybinz' "process" and build an alter-ego in the East. And the scary thing is, I can see the NCAA/SEC looking the other way and allowing it to happen in all phases.
I think those two entities would love nothing more than to push that rivalry harder and get two SEC teams consistently as players in the 4-team playoff. The only way you do that is to look the other way, take a hands off approach and allow FUGA to play by the same rules, or total lack thereof, as Bama has been playing by all these years. I have no doubt that's already in play.
LSU is always going to be solid. They have a great tradition, rabid fan base and a fertile recruiting ground with little head to head competition. Go Gaytah has the chance to build something skrong under Mullen. But neither of those have the national appeal right now as the Lord Saybinz protégé taking on the Dark Master, or beating him out to face tOSU and Blabbo Skinney.
I'd rather go to China and lick doorknobs than watch it happen, but I'd lay good money on the fact that it's going on right now.
