I know this was a couple of days ago, but Auburn added the title of Recruiting Coordinator to Travis Williams' list of duties, along with being Co-Defensive Coordinator and LB's Corch. The article I saw said his $450K salary should be padded with a few more duckies and sheckels. Sounds like a good move to me as it seems we've always heard nothing but good things about T-Will on the recruiting trail.
No big woop here, but Chad Morris added one of his former assistants to the staff as an analyst and he, Will Bryant, will be working with the QB's. So.....this is my question. Gus gave up play calling for the 17th time. He called Morris the best OC in the game. (And said the future is bright) Morris openly said they will be using the tight end in the offense, which is a change in itself because we sign tight ends, then change their position name to H-Back and then never use them to do anything but block.
Ultimately, is Chad Morris going to have the leeway to change this offense to suit his offensive personality. Well, I say his personality is offensive but I really don't know that. You guys know me. I'm over Gus and his entire abortion of an offense that the world has long since figured out. If this is going to be a situation where Co Mo (I just made that up) is free to do his thing, I have hope for the future. On the other hand, if all that's happening here is that Gus is handing over the laminated sheet of genius for Chad to pick plays from, I want to start getting into Lacrosse or Australian Rules Football or some other sport so I won't have to lose the remaining 12 hairs I have on my head in utter frustration at another poorly executed, back shoulder throw to Seth Williams down the sideline.
