Another Coach O
« on: January 14, 2020, 02:49:37 PM »
Or O-line Coach.  Gus done stolt one from Ole Miss.  Jack Bicknell, Jr. was named to replace Co Grimes.  Spent the last 3 seasons at OM but has a good bit of NFL experience with several teams including Miami, Pittsburgh, Kansas City and NY Giants.

Other than that, I have no idea about the guy or how good he is.  Anyone?  Anyone?  Bueller?  Bueller?

My doctor told me I needed to stop masturbating.  I asked him why, and he said, "because I'm trying to examine you."

Seems like a good hire on paper. But I’m still waiting for the other shoe to drop. What’s the catch?

I know his daddy by reputation.  I remember him being coach at Boston College for that brief period they were good.  Seems like he coached Flutie and I'm pretty sure he was their coach the year Bo kicked BC's ass.  Possible the guy Gus just hired played for that team, but don't know that for sure.  Seems like there was a Bicknell linebacker playing for daddy Bicknell.

He was at Ole Miss for three years.  That isn't a glowing recommendation.   Other than that, I got zero.

No but they got better at rushing the ball each year and was 2nd in the SEC this year.  They were second in passing his first two years.  Was way worse this year.  How much of that is talent and the OC's play calling and how much of it was because of his line coaching is anyone's guess. That is the only bright spot I see.

There are gonna be days when you lay your guts on the line and you come away empty handed, there ain't a damn thing you can do about it but go back out there and lay em on the line again...and again, and again! -- Coach Pat Dye

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.
