Three SEC jobs are currently open. Arkansas, Missouri and Ole Miss. Could easily see Mississippi State and South Carolina open up.
If you're a coach looking for your next challenge, why would you take any of these jobs? It's next to impossible to win in Mississippi. You have to cheat to do it. Dan Mullen cheated. State won some games but never made it to Atlanta (or came close). Hugh Freeze cheated. Won some games, beat Bama twice (whippee shit) but never made it to Atlanta. Missouri did make it to Atlanta and didn't cheat that we know of, but they did so when the SEC East was basically the ACC. Terrible teams on that side of the ledger during Mizzou's run. Arkansas. Petrino cheated on his wife. Don't know what he did to get Arkansas to win, but still never made it out of the West. South Carolina, even with Spurrier, couldn't win the SEC.
If you're a coach looking to boost his resume why would you bury yourself at any of those places where wins are hard to come by and you're more likely to shred your reputation than you are to build it?
