Both the Tighgas and Tahd are playing in the Betty Crocker Cupcake Bowl this weekend. I will forego the trek to the Planes in lieu of slow cooking some form of tasty pork or brisket on Teh Big Green Egg and blowing the froth off a couple of too many beers. AU faces the mighty 5-6 Pups of Samford. Analysis here would be futile and meaningless. We stumble our way through to our 8th and likely final win of the season.

Easily the biggest match up of the day belongs to THE Ohio State University and Sandusky State. The Nittany Lions come in at 9-1; however, it's been a most unimpressive journey to that record. Good defense and just enough offense to get the W on most Saturdays. This is a different animal, though. I’m in no way saying that the Bulkeyes schedule has been murderer’s row. But to me, when a team takes care of business the way they’re expected to every week, you have to respect that. And they’ve been taking care of business to the tune of 51.5 points per game (1st in the nation) while giving up less than 10 per. Chase Young, he of 13.5 sacks, is back and that battery is fully charged. Plus, it’s in the Shoe.

One game that could be sneaky good has Texas A&M traveling to The Cesspool of the South to face Fuck Georgia. I came away extremely impressed with the Bulldog D, but toting a whole lot of MEH for their offense. The D is legit. First in the SEC and only giving up 10.5 a game. They’ll most likely be the ultimate difference. On the other side, A&M was pretty much written off at mid-season after losses to Clemson, Auburn and Bama. Has anyone noticed they’ve gone 5-1 in their last 6 and are playing some pretty good D of their own? This is one that may come across on the scroll where people look and go, “Oh shit, A&M has FUGA tied with 3 minutes to go.†On the other hand, FUGA may be up 24-0 after one quarter and all hopes are dashed. I tend to think somewhere in between.
