This was the only pre-conference game that worried me.  Big time quality opponent who whipped out ass last year.  Great win but....gawt damn....please hit your free throws.  Not even a game if you do.
I still think this team is finding an identity.
If jvon could get hot on the trey, we roll.

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

This was the first game that I watched whistle to whistle.  Couple of things stood out to me.

Like snags said we get better at the charity stripe and this one isn't even close however free throws were neglected years ago in favor of the 3 point line.  If we hit 70%, that will be consistent with everyone else who can't shoot them either.

We are quick and hustle.  I don't recall seeing anyone lagging behind in transition from one end to the other.  That can pay big dividends over the course of the year.

We seemed to be looking for shots better last night than what I have seen before.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

I think we'll see a more consistent product when we aren't sitting on our asses for a week or two between games.

To keep winning despite the obvious team flaws, though, is a great sign.

I saw Samir Doughty and a couple others getting chippy with the NC State fellas. The confident, stand your ground type of chippy. I like it. I'm in full believe this years version of the Bruce Pearls have that nasty grind it out attitude. I'm certain there is motivation being carried over from last years Final 4. The free throws should get better. It seems this last two games has been somewhat of a funk at the line but I want to say the team as a whole were actually pretty decent so far this year.

Against MSU, can’t buy a freaking three!

0-11 first half.
5-10 second.

But this team is relentless!
