Speak to me.  We won.  What happened?  We were behind by 1 with 22 seconds.  Anyone?
BTW to answer this we should have won by at least 7-8 points.  Free throws...free throws...free throws.  Bruce really needs the boys to get it going at the charity stripe.  It was bad.  That was the worstest thing I saw.

Honestly, I thought the South Alabama coach fucked up, IMO when we got the ball back with 22 seconds and crossed half court I would have fouled us.

Also in response to Kaos on Wiley...I have watched all of the games, he's good, but he isn't where he needs to be on a consistent basis.

I missed one.  Both games I saw so far, he's getting beaten.  Slow reaction times.  Driving past him and he ends up fouling.

Maybe Mr. Wiley can get some good work in tomorrow against the Matadors of Cal State Northridge.  So far, those Bull Fighters are 0-3 after losing by 20 to Oregon State, 27 to New Mexico and 12 to Pepperdine.  Two of those teams scored 90+.

I want to see us break 100.

I really like Wiley but he's sort of our basketball answer for a blocking tight end. You can check all of the boxes with this kid from genes on down that should indicate a double/double machine but it ain't happening.

He's sort of filling the spot vacated by Horace Spencer right now as a basket defender/ rebounder. Doesn't have his "spot" on the floor where we feed him and he doesn't really possess the prerequisite jump hook that big men normally have.

I mentioned last season, if he can learn to score around the basket, he could be great.
He just does not have the ability to successfully attack the basket with the ball in his hands. He needs to attend a reputable big man camp during the off season. I do not even see him getting drafted this year at this rate.

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

Love the kid too. Using football terms he just hasn't got the quick twitch, hips or hands. He just plays sort of stiff and a step slow. I don't mean to be overly critical it's just an observation. He has no body fat, gigantic hands and can run till the cows come home without getting winded but he just lacks a certain vital element to make him an elite baller.

Nice win last night over the school that is the kryptonite to most folks in tuscalooser.
91-62...and it really wasn't even that close.
Got to see some more new faces and it appears Pearl has a good problem on his hands.  He has at least 10 that could be in the rotation.

I'm afraid so...better enjoy it this year.

Unless, of course, we can get Gus to coach him up.
