"I had a George Patton speech of more modern times, with all the players and coaches there," Franklin added. "There were some things the players and coaches needed to hear about being responsible. I had owned up to my responsibility and publicly tried to take the blame every time I was asked. It was time for them to do the same.
That's enough for me. I'd have fired him too.
What you saw from Franklin week in and week out was somebody who had no idea what to do. His decisions were poor, his thinking had enormous holes in it, he was just a bad fit. He got tired of taking the blame and raised hell asking players and other coaches to take the blame too? Fuck him and the goat he rode in on.
