1) Reuben had a bad childhood, and even though other people overcome it most like poor little Reuby didn't. Him's daddy was mean!
2) The only time in his life when he wasn't bad was when he blossomed under the love and guidance of Saint Nick Saban The Great.
3) He was aggressive and some fans claimed he was dirty, but that seems unfair.
4) He had a rage incident at the Combine but that wasn't a bad deal and Saban excused it with a joke and blamed the people at the Combine.
5) He tested positive for marijuana at the Combine and then got arrested for it in Tuscaloosa, but HEY... it shouldn't even be illegal!
6) He's REALLY aggressive, so why are we surprised when he's the same off the football field? It's not even his fault.
7) Well, it is his fault so we definitely can't blame Alabama football or Saint Saban the Beatific, or even the system.
My take? You want to know why Reuben Foster is a screwup?
1) He's dumber than a dirt pile and had no business ever being on a college campus. You cannot make me believe that Sleepy McGoo could pass even the most basic course.
2) He was paid to attend Alabama, he was provided performance-enhancing supplements to stoke his strength and rage and any transgressions he may have committed on campus were covered up. I heard rumors of him stealing, punching out other students and generally acting like a thug. When that was excused, why shouldn't he expect the same in the NFL.
3) He was made to feel superior to the general population during the recruiting process and that "above the law" mentality was fostered at Alabama. The dim bulb has no understanding that his actions will have consequences. Somebody will get him out of it as always. He was a dirty player but primarily because he's so dumb he didn't know the difference. He led with his head (the hardest part of his body) on every tackle.
