Jarrett Stidham may have already played his last down at Auburn.Either way, it looks like this will be his last season with the Tigers. The redshirt junior plans to enter the NFL draft, sources told AL.com.It’s unclear whether Stidham will play in the Music City Bowl, according to sources, though at least some inside the Auburn building do currently expect him to play. While Stidham’s stock is down significantly from where it was entering the season, when had a first-round grade from at least one of the NFL’s scouting services, it’s still possible he could be selected during the first few rounds of the NFL draft.Walter Football ranks Stidham as the seventh-best prospect among draft-eligible quarterbacks and projects he will be a second- or third-round draft pick.Stidham will likely need to impress during the pre-draft process though to have any shot of going that early, especially considering how rough of a season it’s been for him at Auburn.Stidham’s numbers are down in every major category from 2017 and he finished the regular season ranked ninth or worse in the SEC in passing yards (ninth), touchdown passes (10th) and quarterback efficiency rating (11th).
Malik Willis era? In his two years on the Plains, Whatchu Talkin' 'Bout Willis is a grand total of 25 rushes for 257 yards and 2 TDs, 10-13 for 64 yards, 1 TD (in 2017), 0 INTs
Also heard rumors he is not playing in the Bowl game. If so I am actually excited about the bowl game now.
Stidham will have several workouts and a pro day and he'll look like TomDrewBenAaronRothlesRogersBrady throwing perfect pass after perfect pass. Then, they'll look at the film and wonder if it was the same guy that worked out for them.
Right because there isn't someone in his face or covering the receivers. Then Miami will draft him and I will have to find a new team.
Too bad Jon Gruden won't be there to ask him to diagram plays for an ESPN special. Would have loved to see Jarrett drawing up the 47 variations of the boundary screen he got to throw this year.
Gruden: Show me the keys you're looking for when throwing a slant. Is it the position of the corner, the Will Linebacker? What?Stidham: Well....uuummm…..uuhh…..okay, I think we only ran one slant while I was at Auburn, so I'm not really sure what you're asking.
Sooo. Jarrett stidham. Texas gunslinger man. Is that right? So. It’s 3rd and 3. You got a good running back. Making gains. You got the momentum. Your line is pushing. Whaddaya call here man. Well ummm at Auburn usually we throw a or should I say heave a deep bomb into double maybe even triple coverage. Under duress. So yeah. That’s what I would do.
