Interesting. Who was calling plays for the Landshark Black Bears until now. I actually thought offense wasn't the problem for OM. They were pretty wide open, just undermanned on D.

Agreed. He failed miserably in his first attempt. I really think he has some unfinished business and he knows his career goals won't be fulfilled unless he proves himself at that level. The timing will never be better.

On another note, I'm wondering if Chip Lindsey didn't get himself into the same situation he had under Gus. Les Miles was so damn stubborn about 3 yards and a cloud of dust, is he going to let Lindsey do his thing or stick to his guns?

Based on nothing but nekkid speculation, it seems like Les is in Hawaiian-shirt mode. Half-retired. Get P5 money...at a place with no real expectations...and get fluffed by the local media.

Seems like a great opportunity to "re-invent" his style and go full CEO. Let the kids grind...Uncle Les has another banquet to attend.

Les is an odd duck, though, and could be trying to prove that he's still the man. Whodafuck knows?

He won't. He's 67, and I really don't think he will coach past 70. I just can't imagine him making the jump back to the NFL at this age, especially after how much he hated it at Miami.
