I read an interview with Larry Coker where he was talking about the "what have you done for me lately" mentality. He said he had a booster or fan ask him after the 2001 season, "Are we going to be better next year coach?". He said he immediately thought to himself, "Good god, we just one a national championship. What more do they want?".
It has been around for a while, but Wes is correct. The Saban-effect is killing coaches and the sport.
