Two other threads will be deleted and merged into this lamentation over the Day of Death that opened 2019.
First I heard Super Dave Osborne had performed his last stunt at the age of 76.
Then I heard Mean Gene Okerlund had done his last backstage interview with the WWE Roid roster. Gone at 76.
Within hours I learned that the Captain had loved his last Muskrat. Darryl Dragon, the keyboarding Captain who made his bones with Tennille left us. In a startling coincidence, he was also 76. Little known fact. His wife Toni Tennille (who was one of the background vocalists on Pink Floyd's The Wall before becoming a small scale pop star) was an Auburn student.
That's a triple whammy and a terrible way to start the new year.
So long, Dave. Always the King of the Road.
