One question.  

WHY?  

The voice isn't right. There's no need whatsoever.  The cartoon is a classic. I didn't much care for Jim Fuckhole Carey's take on it, but I understand the appeal.  This?  Just damned unnecessary.

I'm the same way.  Why? What's the point?  The cartoon is the classic.  Despite his fuckholedness, Carrey nailed the character and the remake pretty much stayed right by the original script.  Leave it alone.

Because they can't come up with any new material.  Think abour any of the new movies that have come out, unless it's based on a true story, it sucks.  Let's be honest here, even some of the "based on a true story ones, hollyweird screws it up somehow.
