Beating Ole Miss is like regrettable sex
« on: October 20, 2018, 02:43:25 PM »
Sure, I got it wet and nutted, but it wasn't good and I need a hot shower to wash it all off.

Ole Miss is garbage.

Gus is still an over-his-skis high school coach.

So here's the new issue.  AU beats Liberty and goes to a bowl game.  Since Gus made a bowl game he will fire a couple of sacrificial lambs, and we have Gus again
next year.  Yay us!

I watched. Boobie will be broke in two more games. But for now, he is a fighter.
Stidham got the ball closer to the WRs on the long ball. He still looks like a RS sophomore. However he did hit a wide open Seth for a nice long gain.
I still have no idea why we don’t put Flash our wide and send him deep at least 4 times a game! Who will cover him?
MW came in for two plays and we gained 7 yards, set up the option for the next play, but put JS back in. More convoluted play calling. OM is just so bad that we got away with it!
Our D will allow us to hang with aTm. If our O can be half ass, we have a chance.
Bammer and UGA will have their way with us!

So...7-5 is the ceiling this season.

Auburn might beat aTm...(if the defense & special teams have a very good game).

Auburn will get pummeled to the ground by UGA

Auburn will beat Liberty (while still laying on the ground)

bama will rape the shit outta Auburn (one of the best offensive teams bama has had in a very long time...they toy around with defenses. Tua will win the Heisman).

I thought the O looked much better today.  And don't give me the Ole Miss shitty defense excuse.  We've played several shitty defenses so far and couldn't get out of our own way.  Stidham was 1,000% better than he's been and the play calling was the best so far this year.

The D was the ole "Bend but not break" dealio with Ole Miss moving it well between the 20's.  By mid 3rd quarter, we had them figured out and it was no contest from there.

On a side note, if anyone hung around to watch the on field interview with Malzahn right after the game, his entire reaction said, "I'm gone". Never seen him like that.

Never seen a more timid looking offense with this many weapons to create mismatches all over the field.

Should carve up defenses and score 30+ every game without maiming our best runner.

I will say I thought play calling was better. And Stidham was at least avg. not bad. Def better.

Two huge drops by Slayton and Schwartz prevented the game from being an ass raping. Same with Carlson and his misses.

Bama will go in dry on us. It will be ugly. Good news is they will do it to everyone else too. If the LSU from the ga game shows up against them they may have a chance.

One thing I would say in Slayton and Schwartz' defense is when you go back and look at it, the defenders had a lot to do with the incompletes. Could have been, should have been, but decent plays by the DB's.

Carlson should kick off and nothing else.  He's horrible.  No getting around it.  Just not ready for the kicking duties.  Need to bench him now.

As for LSU, that Bama game keeps getting a bit more interesting every week.  I just don't see LSU being able to score enough to be a serious threat to win that game.  But the Faux Tigers seem to have enough talent across the board, and seem to have that knack for keeping it close, that it could be somewhat entertaining.

Have to keep Tua off the field to beat the Turds. Don't think LSU or anyone for that matter can do that for much more than a quarter. Not going to beat them in a phone booth kicking field goals.

I have no idea what happens moving forward.  No need to rehash the fact that I've wanted Malzahn gone for 2-3 years now.  We'll see.  But Boobie...

I said earlier that we don't have any elite backs.  I still semi-stand behind that.  But I have to say that what I saw from Boobie Whitlow was something special.  He went for 170.  Yeah, spare me the Ole Miss is a shitty defense argument.  Yes, they are.  But it wasn't that he was running through no resistance like swiss cheese. It was how he was doing it.  The most impressive play of the game was one that went nowhere.  Whitlow took the handoff and went left.  He had a potentially huge gain if Darius Slayton held his block.  Boobie got out there and literally stopped to see what Slayton would do. Darius failed on the block and the gain was 5 yards.

The incredible thing was to watch this redshirt freshman do what only experienced NFL backs do.  Watch things develop in front of him and react to it.  This guy could wind up being something special.

Boobie is a very good back and our tough little midget is a good change of pace. Both need better blocking from point of attack. Better Saturday but like Snaggle has repeated 9 times, how much of that was Rebelsharks?

While that’s true what I’ve seen consistently seen starting with LSU is that dbs get physical with our wideouts. And we don’t return the favor much. Would be good to see some Sammie “get the ferrk outta my way” Coates type shit sometimes. I do know on the Slayton drop it hit both forearms and fell through between them. On schwartz, it hit both jersey numbers. You gotta find a way to catch those.

The playcalling was better.

Stidham overthrew some wide open receivers early in the game...and would have had us winning by about 45 if he hit.

The OL continues to be garbage, but Harrell had a pretty good day.

Defense got their mojo back against a potent offense.

The season is still fucked, OM is pretty awful on defense, and Liberty might be our only remaining win.
