Look, I agree with Snagg.  The ref's were TERRIBLE!!! It seemed like everything we did was getting reviewed or called short so on and so on.  But the biggest reason we lost that game was a few things.

1. Stidham refused to look off the safety.  Several times receivers run up the field with db 5 yards behind. He chooses to throw to the not so open guy.

2. Both O-line and D-line sucked

3. We came out flat and couldn't catch a damn pass in the first quarter.  (also back to Stidham making terrible reads).

4. LSU came out and exsposed our straight up weakness of pass defense. (the worst part of our entire team).

5. Legatron 2.0 needs to get his head out of his ass!!!  He comes off as if he's earned his legacy already.  His brother looked like he was out there trying to keep  from loosing his job on every kick.

Bottom line, yes the ref's were awful but if we make the plays we are supposed to make, we win.
Agree 100% only thing I will add is I thought Gus called a horrific 4th quarter, looked like again we were playing not to lose, rather than to win.

A common refrain in the Gus-led Auburn era.

fudge them? Nah, Ed. We fudge ourselves.

You made the effort to argue Arkansas is worse than Vandy.  You really need to get out more.  There's a great big world out there.

You brought it up asshat. Besides we’re playing one of them next game. Sweet revenge. Bend over hogs. We’re going in dry.

Adding left and right to them does not make new routes.

Let's be honest, we didn't add left and right either, we just straightened out the twirly bird and that makes it look like more

SEC Bitches!!!
Pass Interferences for the secondary
Holding for the OLine

The two positions of concern that we all had going into the season.

I know we were all jumping for joy, like Christmas came early, when the tackle, from mighty UMass, signed with Auburn and became the starter...and when the wide receiver from Trussville, Noah Iggy, transitioned to CB and became the starter.

Yeah Prowler we see these head scratching deficiencies but I offer Chad Slade and Neiko Thorpe as exhibits 1 and 2.
Fast forward a couple of years and Driscoll might be the starting right tackle with the NYGiants and Igboghene at corner with the Cardinals.

It's like that planet X thingy. Cool huh?
Except Gus is still calling plays and Yaw Yaw has beaten us nine straight times.

For the record, nothing is ever as bad as it seems or as good as it seems.

LSU came out and played really good. Burrows impressed me. Ensminger's play calling impressed me. Auburn was lucky to be down only 10 in the first 20 minutes or so of the game.

Then Auburn turned it around. Gus finally sat Kam and we started running the ball up the middle with Boobee and it opened up the defense. We scored 21 straight. Held LSU over and over and over again and then offense started stalling. Some was play calling, some was good LSU defense, some was penalties that killed us.

The last quarter was brutal for penalties though. Auburn had 2 holding penalties that stalled drives and 2 PI calls that kept drives going for LSU. Plus Stidham threw a knuclehead pick while driving at around the 25 where a score could have put the game away too. That's tough to over come. LSU did enough to win the ball game and didn't make mistakes. You have to give them credit. They played good and Burrows impressed me. He damn sure didn't play like a third rate QB.

With that said though, LSU scored 2 TD's in the game. One was on a short field off a turnover, and the 2nd was a 70 yard pass. Every thing else was FG's.

I understand the frustration of losing, but damn, I agree with Snags, y'all are acting like we just lost to Kentucky. We lost to LSU when ALL the things above went against us. Shit happens some times.

I was not.  Okay...maybe a little about the tackle.
I knew there were some problems when my boy Igbo cracked the starting lineup at Corner though.  He played RB and WR exclusively for the Huskies.

Speaking only for myself, I'm good with a split with the Turds even though it's really once every four years we beat 'em.
But I cannot handle losing to Georgia or these half snooty- half river rat Mardi Gras freaks. Never, never, NEVER!
Makes me want to climb a bell tower.

I think that's what is the crux of everyone's frustrations.  I just feel like Auburn under Gus is the very definition of insanity.

Can even say as much about the Tubs era in many instances. It's having a lead with a better team and coach but there's that Ground Hog Day moment (perhaps the early pick...IDK) when things start to unravel inexplicably and goes to shit from there. And there's no overcoming it, IT JUST IS!

It's Jim Donnan, Joe Fucking Cox, Yaw Yaw, Joe I Don't Know Burrow- we fucked insanity.
