Trump's campaign manager, Paul Manafort, found guilty on 8 out of 18 charges (possible 80 years in prison).

Trump's lawyer, Michael Cohen, pleads guilty to 8 Federal charges (stated that he violated campaign law in coordination with and at the direction of Trump).

I don’t keep up with politics even remotely as much as I used to. But, I’ve read about this being the worst day in Trump’s life, yadda, etc, whatever.

Let me go on the record as saying, this is a big pile of goat shit. I predict that it doesn’t cause the Donald any significant loss.

Paul Manafort is set to go to trial again next month on charges including conspiracy to defraud the US, failing to register as a foreign agent, money laundering, and witness tampering.

For those babbling, "this ain't got nothin to do with Trump and Russian collusion." That would be correct, but these are considered the undercards for the upcoming title fight and it continues to legitimize the Mueller investigation no matter how hard Trump tries to undermine it.

Honestly, what this does for me is to reinforce my thought that the Donald is against the swamp and makes me know that he’s the guy for 4 more years.

Having said that, I’m certainly not sold that he’ll get it. Regardless how great I think he’s done, they are bound and determined. I don’t think they can take him down but the average voter is no business person, so they have totally different motives. And obviously, the liberals be pissed.

This is much bigger malarkey than Monica lewinsky . Manafort and tax evasion? I honestly don’t know anything about the specifics. But I can tell you that I have very little idea about what my accountants have done for me over the last 25 years. And believe it or not, I don’t have as much money to hide as the Donald. I’m calling bullshit. I’m f for no other reason,  He would not want to risk getting caught.

A few mil isn’t as tempting as stormy Daniels.

Manafort was looked into for the these exact same offenses by the Obama justice department and Rod Rosenstein.  It was deemed by them at the time that there was nothing there to prosecute.

In dome Mueller and a need for someone to roll on Trump and voila, they decide to prosecute him.

Manafort was convicted on 8 of 18 counts, none of which pertained to anything Trump related.  But, obviously they're hoping he'll turn on Trump with other information in exchange for a lighter sentence.  Who knows if he has anything?  Trump fired the guy so it's probably likely he doesn't have anything of value.  Cohen, on the other hand, is a problem.  That's some slam dunk shit right there.  It won't affect Trump criminally until he leaves office.  But it does give the impeachment psychos some ammunition.  And CNN and MSNBC something to talk about for the next few months.

I'm starting to rethink my "slam dunk" position on the Cohen issue.  I think that goes nowhere from a legal standpoint.  I even read where the former chairman of the Federal Election Committee said that since Trump paid Cohen back (Because he didn't want his name on those checks) then no crime was committed on Trump's part.  I think that would be correct because it winds up not being a campaign contribution.  The payment ultimately came from Trump himself.

John Edwards was found not guilty in a case where a rich ass donor paid $925K to his side bitches to keep them quiet during the campaign.  Don't know all the facts in that one other than the basic issues.

Question: Does anyone recall that Obama didn't report up to 1,300 campaign contributions and was fined $375K by the FEC?  Anyone?  Bueller?  Bueller?
