Jemele "Jabba" Hill a failure, MSM refuses to admit why
« on: May 11, 2018, 01:42:35 PM »
SC6, ESPN's urbanization of the prime time SportsCenter was a colossal failure.  Ratings were more than 20% lower than similar shows in the same time slot a year prior.

ESPN tried to pawn the disastrous crash on factors other than the general repugnance generated by the trollish Hill.  The ratings dropoff was primarily "driven by outside forces such as ESPN's overall falling subscriber base and the general decline in live TV viewership," ESPN said then.

WRONG.  Hill was ditched, Smith bolted and suddenly ratings started to slowly climb back toward their previous numbers.  It will take a while for the viewers who were driven away to find their path back -- and the program won't likely recover all the lost viewers -- but no Hill means higher ratings.

Today, ESPN announced new anchors for the 6pm SportsCenter.  Sage Steele and Kevin Negandhi will take over the roles

In announcing the change, USAToday felt compelled to add the following:
SC6 was unable to stem the audience losses in the time slot, which likely had more to do with the changing media landscape than whatever Hill wrote on Twitter.

NO.  You idiots.  The failure of SC6 was directly attributable to that worthless troll and her even more worthless opinions.  The number of people who wanted to watch her could apparently be counted on one hand.  But the media cannot help but make excuses for her abhorrent behavior and pretend like it didn't matter.
