I don't doubt there are some assholes saying vile things. Unfortunately, it's social media. People feel empowered to talk shit without repercussions. I was just reading a post on the book faces about one of the candidates running for Congress. In one of the replies, a poster felt compelled to call Trump every name in the book. It's social media. And as Charles Barkley put it, "Social media is where losers go to feel important about themselves."

I feel badly for his family that heâ€™s gone. Iâ€™m glad his physical suffering has ended.

Iâ€™m not the type to heap praise on the departed when I wouldnâ€™t have done so in life.

At the end of his public service, I believe he betrayed the people who elected him. Itâ€™s my opinion that he was a faux republican and a perfect representation of the corrupting influence of power. In the end he was more concerned with maintaining control than he was doing what was best. He became part of the deep state and part of the problem.

I heard today some commentator lauding him for how deferential he was to Obama after losing to him in 2008. How respectful he was to him and how he tried so hard to bridge the divide and support Obama. Yeah. Too bad he didnâ€™t bother to do the same for Trump.

No issue with him personally. Iâ€™m sure he was a good dad/husband. Feel horrible for anyone with glioblastoma. Saw a guy at work years back die from it. Itâ€™s terrible. Also feel bad for his wife and kids.

But professionally I detested the guy. He sold out his country. He also did some questionable things to his fellow countrymen in the navy. I wish it were different but I canâ€™t get past much of what he did in public service. He had become part of the swamp.

From a human perspective Iâ€™ll say Iâ€™m glad he isnâ€™t suffering any longer and be done with it.
