FLORENCE, Ala. – The University of North Alabama offense scored touchdowns on seven of its eight first half possessions and rolled to a 52-0 win over the Harding Bisons at Braly Stadium.

The third ranked Lions led 49-0 at halftime and played reserves the entire second half but managed to preserve the shutout.

The shutout of Harding was an even more impressive feat since the Bisons entered the game averaging 37 points per outing.

UNA scored a touchdown on each of their first 6 possessions in the first half (TDs on 7 of 8 drives).  I don't care if your playing against freaking 'air' or some middle school team; scoring the first 6 times you touch the ball is stout.

Now you know why the Alabama A&M's and Jacksonville State's  of D1AA don't consider playing little ole UNA. Cause, they'll catch a beatdown.

I love my alma mater, I really do, but until the BOT (and the administration in general) get their heads out of their collective asses and push to expand the university (ie - more colleges, more students) and get us to a D1A category I'm afraid UNA football will never quite turn me on.

I seriously attended only two games during my four years there, both because ROTC forced us to go.
