AU opens the season Friday with a 3 game set against a team with huge dicks.

First pitch is Friday at 1:00 vs. Longwood.

He and Hudson were the guests at the preseason banquet/booster dinner this year. I wanted to go but had something else going on. Was about a week ago. But I'm sure glavine being there had a lot to do with that.

AU opens the season with a 6-0 shutout of Longwood. I have no idea about Longwood other than they're from Virginia. That's it! But in the day and age of aluminum bats, a shutout against anyone is impressive. No stats or stories. Just saw the final. 1-0 for the good guys.

The Tiggers swept Longdick, getting 2 shutouts in the process. 3-0

They take on Georgia State today and Troy tomorrow.

AU now at 5-0 with a 3-2 win over Georgia State, followed by a 6-5 victory over Troy.

I know the competition hasn't exactly been stellar to this point, at least not household names in college baseball. But through 5 games, this pitching staff is giving up an average of 1.6 runs per game.

Actually, Troy might be pretty stout. They were 4-0 coming in and averaging over 10 runs a game. BTW, the Trojans have a 3 game set in the Hassee' with FSU this weekend. Could be interesting.

Cool. Did not see that. Would love to see them get by South. They usually don't fare too well over there.
