Looking at the bracket, there is a chance that half the teams in the super regionals will be from the SEC. South Cackalacky has a good shot to be the 7th and Mississippi State still has a chance to be #8.

It is bullshit that if USC and MSU make it 7 and 8, that 6 of those 8 teams play each other in the Supers (AU vs UF, Vandy vs MSU, and Ark vs USC).

In fairness, it was either that or they put two or three SEC teams in the same regional which would have sucked.

It could be worse. If A&M doesn't crap the bed, that's a SEC v. SEC Super, too.

Don't think they foresaw AU coming out, Vandy winning, MSU getting through.

About all they could have done to make it "better" was ship a couple of SEC teams out to Stanford or Conway. That would have make people mad too. Or maybe send one to Chapel Hill, but trying to get out of the North Carolina regional might have been hard for any SEC team.

Werd. I was kind of hoping they'd throw Mize second for this series like they did in the Regional. Singer is a bad ass and I don't expect many runs against him regardless. But, still pretty nice to have two of the games premiere pitchers going at it.
