Julio Jones, Falcons wide receiver and former Alabama star, opening car dealership in TuscaloosaJulio Jones, the former Alabama star and All Pro Atlanta Falcons wide receiver, is venturing into the car business with the opening of a Kia and Mazda dealership in Tuscaloosa.Julio Jones Kia and Julio Jones Mazda will open Tuesday at 4301 Greensboro Ave in Tuscaloosa, according to a news release from his agents Darien Southerland and Tim Newton, of the BG AD Group. Jones will have a news conference that's open to the public at the dealership Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.Jones has partnered with a team that will oversee the dealership while he continues his football career in Atlanta, the announcement states. Day-to-day operations will be handled by Carriage Automotive Group in Gainesville, Georgia.Jones, a Foley native, was a first-round pick in the 2011 draft. He was part of Alabama's 2009 National Championship team under Head Coach Nick Saban.Jones' Tuscaloosa dealership opens less than a week before Saban's new Mercedes lot opens in Irondale on Feb. 5. Saban and business partner Joe Agresti also opened a Mercedes dealership in Nashville and bought the Crown Mercedes dealership in Hoover.
