And yes, Keith Jackson is a legend.  Being an old fogie, I grew up with Jackson calling all the big games.  Before the ESPN's and teh cables, you normally got 2 college football games per weekend.  Usually a regional game, where you hoped your team would be on, and the biggest national match up.  Jackson seemingly always had the marquis game.  He had several signature phrases or sometimes it was just his voice inflection when he called a fumble.  He was 89.

I opened this really, seriously hoping you were referring to that redneck convict asshole that used to call in to Finebaum when I wasted time listening to that show.

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

Keith loved him some Pac10 and Allabammuhhh.

But for me, his voice was college football on TV for a while.

Believe it or not, was out on the Saturday morning pre-XMas and turned on WJOX. Apparently no "real" sports jocks were working and there was a pre -game Iron Bowl discussion hosted by Kip Keifer (Bham Racecourse honk) and special guest host LEGEND...yes...that redneck, criminal from Finebaum.

I liked Keith Jackson but his Bryant worship became sickening during our eleven year drought.

If so he must be back in good graces. He actually spoke highly of Auburn and halfway attempted to be objective.
Yes...I couldn't help but listen a bit.

The way it is explained to me jmar is that once you are dead that you are permanently banned. But I have had numerous brain surgeries, so admittedly things are sketchy sometimes

If the swat team takes me out as I’m rightfully getting vengeance and people are asking why, there is a list in my nightstand. And in my glovebox.

There aren’t a lot of details , I know. But as investigators are pissing away taxpayer money, trying to piece together why so many losers were taken out,  just point them to posts like this.

WT does not have time for this.

It must be nostalgia more than anything.

I don't get the sense of loss with Jackson or Cronkite or any corporate shill passing.

I miss Jim Fyffe and mourned his passing because of his singular focus in broadcasting: love of Auburn University.

Diff'rent strokes, I guess.

On the off-chance that the fairy tales ain't bunk
And Imma keep a bottle of that funk

Neighbors pit bull got ran over after the holidays. Recovered from surgery. Saw him chasing cars again yesterday.
Just saying because if you run out of heads I could probably find one for you that might last a while.

For someone that is so sensitive about the feelings of the gays and colored peoples, you sure talk about stroke victims.

Keep it up big guy.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."
