The Politicalization of Our Culture

It's ridiculous how much subtle politicalization filters into every little thing.

I got Call of Duty WW2.  I'm killing Nazis that clearly want to kill me.  The graphics, the story... it's all absolutely amazing when I think back to less than 30 years ago and the way Madden 1 was essentially some scrambled X's and O's on a 40 lb computer monitor.  But I digress.

In the middle of that, during one of the transition story screens there's this little rant about how the Nazis are just regular guys and there are a lot of good Germans in the world.  I don't remember all of it, but it threw me out of the narrative because it was just so out of place.

Then I'm reading a John Grisham book and the government employees (ICE, Homeland, etc.) are morons and the poor illegal immigrants who are being harassed by these mean old morons are the sympathetic figures.

Then I'm reading a story in some magazine where a Muslim immigrant felt bad about buying a stolen computer and returned it to the guy it originally belonged to.  Cam buys a stolen laptop and he's a pariah. Random Islamic dude does and he's a symbol of everlasting peace.

I don't want all that nonsense.

I'm still wondering why Hitler didn't invade Britain in 1940 or at least besiege London for ransom. He was a good German...in Nazi terms. He couldn't get his generals to agree on how to pull it off and decided instead to go piss off some communists thousands of miles away.
Where was the process?

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.
