So CGM is at some coach's convention or some get together, whatever, doesn't matter...in Charlotte. He gives a 30 minute speech and says the following:

"You know, the SEC Network was supposed to be really cool three or four years ago. Now, it's all about they're trying to get the coach fired about every other day you turn it on. Your family's the one that pays the price for that. I'm isolated; all I've got is kind of what's in the with the team and all that. It's a real challenge and I'm blessed to have the family I have."

So, you gotchu a new deal and you feel empowered to piss off the very network that's formed to prop up this conference. Now, let me say first off, I DON'T think this is any huge deal and not trying to make more of it than it is. But, you just gave Finebaum and others the ammunition to take shot after shot at you for years to come. Earth to Gus...when you're losing an average of 5 games a year at Kentucky, no one cares. When you do it at Auburn, your ass will be picked apart and everyone at the SEC Network and every other sports network will question whether you are the right man for the job. Just take your $49 million and shut the hell up.

No. It's just another in a loooong line of examples of this man not having the awareness to keep his pie hole shut. The fact is he got sand in his ample sized vagina from paying attention to the talking heads speculating over his job status, as they do with any coach in his position putting out those kinds of results. So yeah, he got his money and his security and felt compelled to fire a needless shot across the bow of the SEC Network. As I said, not that big of a deal. But just get ready for several years of push back.

Yep. Don't like the man as our coach. Haven't for over 2 years. But yeah, he's ours, like it or not. Still won't stop me from pointing out that you don't piss off your own network. That depends on what you mean by throwing shit at the wall. I'm talking about the SEC Network here. If they're just randomly repeating rumors and unfounded speculation, I get that. If they're honestly debating over whether a coach who loses an average of 5 games a season for 4 years straight at Auburn could be on the hot seat, then someone needs to get thicker skin than Donald Trump. Besides, other than 250 redneck callers a day to Finebaum's show talking shit, I haven't seen the SEC Network engaging in anything remotely close to the sleazy shit Malzahn is alluding to.

And no, I don't think it's okay, and certainly not very smart to bite the hand that feeds you. The SEC Network is worth almost $6 Billion and has exponentially increased the payouts to member schools since they came into existence.
