That defense will probably fly for the mid-interview "innuendos" but it's worth fuck all for the off-air groping the “'forcibly flicked/struck' her in the throat" parts of the suit.

The defense was mine and made up. 

All I'm saying is that Gene is a known snake. He makes no pretense otherwise.  If you choose to be in the company of a snake, you cannot be offended if that snake bites you. 

Most of this is fucking ridiculous to me.  But suing Gene for being Gene and doing what he does, has always done and will always do -- because it's part and parcel of the public persona he projects? Asinine. 
Colin Firth sticks his tongue out near your neck for a photo then that's unusual behavior.  If Gene DOESN'T that's outside the norm. 

There was no "groping."  That word has been stretched to include even the most mundane acts.  Being highly offended and outraged at pretty much EVERY traditional male behavior is destroying the gender.  That's an argument for another day, however.

The guy is from all indication a decent person. A rich guy who built the Panthers from scratch and turned it into a billion-dollar enterprise.  Involved in the community. Altruistic. Engaged.
