I was going to try to go to one of the Dodgers series games, but work got in the way. Thank goodness! I'll be there Monday night as we battle the mighty Marlins.

Thinking yes. Cards aren't as good as the Cubs or Braves. With the changes last week, they brought up guys at AAA who needed to come up. With Pham gone, Tyler O'Neill is getting called up. He and Carson Kelley (who is a catcher) were the guys at AAA ready for the show. Although Kelley is obviously blocked by Molina. I wouldn't be shocked to see Kelley traded before the deadline this afternoon.

And if I can be honest, I think I'd trade Carpenter, too. He's 32 or 33, and having a really good month. He's under contract for next year, with an option for 2020. I think he's worth at least 4 or 5 prospects (if Pham was worth 3).

Actually like it. I think you may remember the no-hitter he had at Wrigley just a couple yrs ago.

The cats on MLB Network are still saying the Cubs are in on getting Matt Harvey.

They also just acquired RH Reliever Brandon Kintzler from the Nationals.
