Nope just al.com doing their thing.  They says we have a crowded backfield.

If you have watched any AU football since Gus has been here, and you are a RB, I don't know why you would ever transfer.

If you play TE, I don't know why'd you'd come here either. As for RBs, you want to become his favorite because you will play, until your balls fall off, but you will play,

As GF pointed out in another post, with Pettway leaving, we now have Malik Miller and His Band of Mighty Mites at running back.  They'd better really concentrate on nailing down a stud back with one of the remaining slots.

Very similar to Bowden and Lectron? Markeith? Robinson the WR at TB?

Not really. Whitlow is a big boy. And Asa is fairly big.

We will have a decent mix. They won't all wear Mattel clothes.

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

If Martin is all that and a big bag of Wavy Lays, he needs to be hitting that weight room right now and see if he can come in around 210.

With regard to Stidham, as I said in this or some other thread (Trust me, I said it) my armchair analysis says he's nowhere near NFL ready.  Not even in the same universe at this point.  Is that just me wishful thinking that he'll come back?  Probably, because I really want the guy to be taking snaps on the Planez next season.  But you all saw what I saw Monday.  That's not an NFL caliber QB, whether the line was half-assing it or not. As an NFL owner, would you take JS over:

•Lamar Jackson, Louisville.
•Baker Mayfield, Oklahoma.
•Josh Rosen, UCLA.
•Sam Darnold, USC.
•Josh Allen, Wyoming.
•Mason Rudolph, Oklahoma State.
•Riley Ferguson, Memphis.
•Luke Falk, Washington State

Gus does not use clipboards anymore. Just big cardboard signs.

Technology has passed you by.

Although you actually would likely be the best AU qb from Montgomery in the modern era. Second only to Charlie.

So, next year we'll be breaking in a new offensive line and backfield. Might be a long season.

Two of those you mention might prove to be serviceable NFL QBs over time.

Stidham has one full season and it's under a head coach that doesn't put much stock in development.
Add to it that our HC puts a wildcat in around the redzone which limits the type of throws that pros are expected to make. Also robs him of a half dozen or more touchdown passes.

Stidham, IMO is the most accurate QB we've had since Jason Campbell and this while having to deal with Malzahn's play calling shell game.
Sorry I can't compare anyone with Cam Newton.

No Stidham isn't ready to advance but we are damn lucky to have him coming back given what's left of our offensive line.
Then there is the fact that we must have a badassed ball carrier willing to suffer as much punishment as his body will allow in order for Gus to function.

*Maybe we get Harold Joiner and he turns out to be Brandon Jacobslike (only he stays) or even Kavoisey Smoke.

What I originally hoped for Auburn offensively takes me back to Chris Todd where we saw signs of using nearly every weapon available and the entire field. Saw a poor man's version of that this season and in the Peach Bowl with UCF under Frost.
Damn you Snags!
