Unfortunately, the teams representing were based on Top 10 finishers in the SEC last season. Our chances look promising next season for the conference challenge.

20-2. A 79-70 win on the road against the Akbar Black Bears. I watched the SOTU address so I saw 5 minutes total of the game. As the game was just ending, the announcers were saying the score will be closer than it was. Said AU took it to them. Anyone watch the whole game?

It was close most of the way but Auburn went on a run with about 8 minutes left and was up 12-15 points until the last minute or so. It was a really really nice game by the Orange Pearls.

Watched first half, listened to Rod and Sonny in the second.

Ole Miss cranked out the D from the get-go ala Mizzou trying to control the pace. It worked for a bit early on and Brown was somewhat off, Harper not as sharp.

Overall we played a so-so game with good effort. Pearl mentioned afterwards that a couple of the guys were battling flu symptoms.
I think our board work helped us through some lulls.

Another hard fought road win.

Feels very strange discussing basketball like we just expect to win.

Between the tight first-half officiating and Andy Kennedy's trillion-look defense, I'm surprised at how calm our guys remained. It would have been very easy to get frustrated, but they just pushed forward and played their game until they started to wear OM out in the 2nd half.

A team like Vandy (2-8) should get choke-throttled like that. But credit to the Tigers for not sleepwalking through a game with an obviously outmatched opponent.

That vandy team has a deceiving record. They beat Kentucky to a pulp in rupp last week only to blow it at the end. We handled our business and didn't have a let down. Onward.

Alabama goes to The Hump and the Bullpuppies take them down 67-63. Can't figure that team out. They take out Oklahoma. Lose to Missouri at home. Go to the Swamp and bitch slap Florida, then lose to MSU. Now granted, that was the Bulldogs' 18th win. They're a pretty good hoops team. But Coach Squeaky's team is the model of inconsistency.
