Yeah, before this week I was firmly in the "The devil you don't know is worse than the devil you know" camp.

That loss broke me.

Him telling the media it "wasn't a big deal" that we blew a 20 point lead against a clearly inferior opponent with a clearly inferior coach for a chance to beat one of our three primary rivals at home for the first time since some of the players were born...broke me.

I need him gone. Rolling the dice is worth it to me at this point.

Well, yeah.

I meant a clearly terrible coach, but clearly Gus was outcoached by him.

He gets outcoached just about every game he's in. Second half performances are the clearest evidence of that.

Coach O had Gus' number the whole time, never a doubt.
Yaw was just sandbagging and waiting to pounce at the precise moment.

Can't you people read?  Clearly, it was the adjustments that LSU made that won the game for them.  I mean...what else could Gus have done when they got so sophisticated as to walk up a safety to stop the Kerryoncat?  Clearly this was a magical coaching job by Yaw Yaw.

I'm not, Chad is right.  Orgeron is an inferior coach.  He barely speaks audible English.  He makes Cadillac sound like a classically trained Shakespearean actor from Wales.

That being said, he outcoached the shit out of Gus.

^^^this is 😂. And true. It's twue.

Give me Patterson. My first choice then and now. And by a long shot.

Agree he has little reason to want the job. But I'd give him my best shot. He'd have Saban type control of AU.

Coach Yaw Yaw > Coach Crayolamuncher

A few statistical observations that show Malzahn's refusal to stay the hell out of the offense.  At Arizona State last season, they threw to the backs 63 times in 12 games.  Here, we've hit the backs 19 times in 7 games with several of those to back ups and coming after the game was in hand.  Lindsey said openly he planned to get the backs way more involved in the passing game.

Ryan Davis is clearly our go-to receiver on short routes.  He has 33 catches for 318 yards and 3 TD's.  But his quickness has turned several of those into big gainers.  He had a 75 yard TD against Cold Piss and then a 15 yard and 52 yard catch and run against LSU.  He was never targeted again after the first quarter unless I missed it on that last desperation possession at the end.

Edit:

Got carried away complimenting Jarhead's post. Noticed he said Chad was right.

Let me be clear that I don't agree with that part of his post. Chad isn't right about shit.

The rest is o.k.

You have to ask what Patterson's motivation would be for leaving.  And the question has nothing to do with the perception by some that big name coaches wouldn't want to come to this program.  I think Auburn is a top 10 coaching destination no matter how you slice it.

But where Patterson is concerned, he's the winningest coach in TCU history. (155-54) I have no clue about the Horny Toad fanbases' mindset, but I imagine he has god-like status.  In addition, he's making $4.75 million per year.  He's top 5 right now and undefeated.

So, what's the incentive to come to Auburn?  He's 57.  One last challenge?

higher ceiling. he has ZERO slack at TCU to fuck up. at a top sec school, you might can lose twice and still get in a playoff.
