Things I learned today
« on: September 16, 2017, 11:55:48 PM »
1) Our offense has absolutely no confidence.  We don't play with any sense of purpose.  There is more wrong than can be fixed.  It is beyond repair.

2) Karma is a bitch.  Tennessee got a taste of the fluke shit they've dealt over the last two years.  Fuck them. Hope it hurts.

3) Kentucky and Vanderbilt may not be great, but they're fun.  Both are better than Auburn.

4) LSU looked very much like Orgeron's Ole Miss teams.  Mississippi State fucked them up.

5) Targeting is a bullshit call.  Two LSU players kicked out for ticky-tack "targeting" calls.  Neither was close to meeting the standard in my opinion.  Not if shit like this goes un-flagged.

6) Alabama is the most boring team in the game.  I can't fathom how anybody would want to watch that.

7) UCLA sucks.

8) Our offense is so bad people are questioning whether the failures are purposeful.

9) Gus Malzahn is a horrible coach.  True to his usual pattern, nobody but Pettway touched the ball today.   There's no excuse for that.  The stupid motherfucker said "Mercer dictated that..."   Seriously?  How in the fucking fucktiy FUCK should we be in a position to let Mercer dictate fucking shit?  Fuck you Gus, you lost-ass turdburglar.

10)  I'm still pissed off and it's not going away.

And once again, if we had a quick RB to run a damn cutback, he'd still be running.

Teams are stacking  the heavy side of this shit show, and we are still running into it!

Forecast:

We are going 7-5 and Malzahn stays.

LOSES
Can't beat State in Auburn.
Crumble against an LSU team struggling for identity.  Gus to the rescue, struggle ends.
Kirby Smart is building a...oh why bother, I'm just gonna write in a loss here.
Iron Bowl loss.

WINS
I do think we overwhelm Missouri, eek out a win over the Grovers, likely win a toss up in Fayetteville followed by a win v. Aggie if only because they get bludgeoned by the Bullies a week prior.
Add in a hard fought victory against Sun Belt power LaMonroe and this is how Malzahn survives.

7-5 We either get a Dec. 30th invite to Memphis or Nashville for the Liberty or Music City Bowl.
Lose another (6-6) and we get to celebrate in Birmingham, Charlotte or even Houston on Dec. 29th.

Already sick of football and it just started.

We missed our window with uga. During the richt era ending and transition to new staff - for that 2-3 years they were very bad. And we whiffed. They are back on the uptick a bit. Their D looks good. Their qb looks like a gamer. They have some rbs. They aren't great or even really good. But they are better than the warm lizard shit they were the last theee years that beat us.

Is there more to it? Was SW one of the transit rapers? Did he do a Mosley and screw a Malzahnette?

Don't know. All I know is there was a ceremonial mock QB competition with a transfer. Writing was on the wall. Malzahn dragged it out far too long.
The first time we heard of a guy losing his starting spot to injury was with Bledsoe and Brady. And White was still on the mend in the Spring ala Chris Todd.
My anger has nothing to do with either kid. I'm disgusted that White's picture and story was seen and heard on every news and sports talk show repeatedly with Malzahn issuing a dismissal without chastizing the outlets for the over the top mistreatment, not for a felony but simple  public intoxication. I find that unforgiveable because White was his guy last season and the sonofabitch knowingly played him hurt.
I know he lacked speed and a deep ball but the kid displayed leadership and toughness through it all. Not about Stidham. He seems like a good kid too.
It's this overpaid high school nitwit we have in charge.

I learned today they'd better find a way to make sure Stidham stays healthy.  We went into the Spring at QB looking like:

Jarrett Stidham
Sean White
Woody Barrett
Tyler Queen
Malik Willis

We now look like:

Jarrett Stidham
Malik Willis

And somehow this is what we get with Gus every damn season, whether it be QB or RB...or both.  Reason #1,131 that he must go and go now.

And just to reiterate, White played hurt through the win streak as Pettway was grinding up opponents until he too pulled up lame.
Now look! Malzahn's leaning on Pettway, playing him injured, not hurt... a real team guy with a future if we don't finish him off.

Just saying that White's ineffectiveness at QB became much more magnified once Pettway became injured.

^^I bet Gus had no idea of the backlash he'd get from old drunks on the White dismissal.
