I never want to lose.

But I'm done watching.  Any hope of me coming to a game is over.

Not everybody understands the way you feel.   I do.

Throwing out the baby and bath water. I get it. And I'd love to get a new AD and HC.

But I can't go along with hoping we lose games this season. Just cannot make myself.
I've seen enough of his man boobs at Auburn. I've seen a team that hasn't even gotten off the bus the two years he went to red stick. I've seen someone who has gotten shit on by UGA the past few years. Has only been in a paosition to win the Iron Bowl once while he was a head coach.  Has almost lost to Jacksonville fucking state.  Has run an offense that a pee wee coach could scheme against. Has recruited to a level on the offensive line that our starting left tackle has played football for TWO WHOLE YEARS.

Gus has completely ruined the image of Auburn football. LSU, UGA, Bama, and every other team with a defensive pulse is happy Gus is out coach. So if we want to take our Outback bow loss this January or our Birmingham Bowl championship that leads to another Gus extension lets do it and keep these cancers at Auburn. But I don't want that.

Some things for ya'll to chew on.

If what I heard is right, Gus is 11-17 vs. ranked opponents.

Gus has a worse SEC record than any Auburn coach from the Shug Jordan era forward.

1-3 against Georgia
1-3 against Alabama
2-2 against LSU
2-2 against Mississippi State
2-2 against A&M

Give me and Wiregrass a bag of footballs and a clipboard and we could take the talent there and do that well.

We've recruited extremely well.  Even at the quarterback position.  We've done it without resorting to paying players like Bama does.  That's the only thing that concerns me if we make a change would be the impact on recruiting.

Of course Gus has bombed on a couple.  He took Tyler Queen over Lamar Jackson.  Good choice.

Then look at this dumbass quote from Monday:

"Jarrett is a good quarterback," Malzahn told AL.com earlier this week. "Jarrett just needs experience. A lot of times there wasn't guys open. That had something to do with him holding the football."

Right.  The receivers weren't open because Stidham gave them too much time to get covered up.

Sigh...

Just like I told you in other years, the things that are fucked up are not things that can be fixed in practice at this point in the season.  What you saw Saturday is what Auburn is going to be until and unless major changes are made.  Another season is down the drain.  That's the fucking reality.

You can't really believe that. No, we may not have a mainline to a Dodge dealership or clothing store, but we pay dudes just like everyone else does. MTSU for crying out loud pays players. It's like this. In the SEC (or anywhere in D1, really) everyone knows the speed limit is 70 and that you can get away going 75-78. Idiot programs like Ole Miss try to drive 93 on the shoulder and wonder how they get caught.

I said "like Bama does..."  They are on a whole different plane.

We are competing against them and have not resorted to the level of blatant cheating that defines their program.

Fair point and I agree. I don't think we could do that without the NCAA crashing through our doors the way it did at Ole Miss.

Not everyone goes to Auburn just to see football.  I love Auburn, love to be on campus, love to make breakfast burritos on Game day, love to watch my son play with other Auburn kids dressed like football players or cheerleaders, love the Auburn weather.  I will be in Auburn win or lose for Thanksgiving week and will watch them get slaughtered by bama.  I still love Auburn and will always want to go there, sufficed of our football record.

After this does not work I expect the next announcement to be that Malzahn has re-taken over the offensive play calling duties (even though he never stopped)

This is where I stand too. But, I won't go as often or to as big of games as I may if we were better. But we could easily make a fun day of Auburn and not even go to the game. I've always gone to the game though.

But I understand that it's a bigger undertaking for those of you that live so far away.

Also, I don't encourage my sons to dress up like a cheerleader. Like a skirt and Pom poms. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Around $2000.00 for the weekend. This is not about who loves Auburn more, for more than 15 years I came back once a year and was lucky enough to do it three times in 2010. For those us that have to travel it is about the weekend, whether its football, baseball or softball. I would love to have the time to come back and walk around campus and soak in my hometown area every home game.

In 2019 Auburn plays here in Dallas, lets say Auburn doesn't fire Gus, goes 6-6 again in 2018. Outlook for 2019 is bleak.    You gonna spend some bank to come watch?

I doubt I'll go to Arlington. But, it's definitely not because I'm as poor as you.
