Deciding to get arrested...
« on: June 07, 2017, 03:39:26 PM »
This is for Token...

I'm driving along minding my own business when I got blue lighted the other night.  I was already in a piss mood and that just added to it.  I saw the guy sitting behind the bushes, looked down to make sure I wasn't speeding and was a little surprised when he 'woop-wooped' me after being behind me for a while.

Officer comes up, knocks on the passenger window and asks if I know why he pulled me over.  Mood took over.  I told him nope, I didn't have the first clue.  He says he clocked me at 78 in a 55.  That pulled my pin.

I told him that was ridiculous.  That I saw him when I passed and looked down.  Was doing no more than 60.  He says he got me on radar further back.  I told him THAT was even more ridiculous.  I had only turned on that road about a half mile before I saw him and there was no way I'd gotten up to 78 and back down to 60 in that time.

He says his radar doesn't lie.  I told him he must have hit a coyote or a passing plane or something else because there was no way in hell I was doing 78.  He says he's not there to argue.  I told him there IS no argument, I wasn't doing what he said period.  So nothing to argue.  He says he's already told me all I need to know.  I reiterated that what he said was impossible.

He steps back, hand drops toward the side and he tells me I need to get out of the truck.  Has me come around the back and stand with my back against the truck.  Asks for license and insurance.  Both of those things are still in the truck so we have some contentious moments while I explain to him that the passenger door is locked since my truck is still running so I'm gonna have to go back around to the driver's side to get the license and that my card is on my phone app.

He looks at the insurance card and takes my license back to the car.  Sits there for a while.  At this point I've decided that I'm going to get myself arrested because he can suck a snake's dick before I sign his ticket.  The longer I wait, the more aggravated I get.

He finally comes back, and I'm ready to go.  He hands me my license and says he's just going to give me a verbal warning.  I need to slow it down.  Then he eyeballs me and asks if I have anything else I need to say to him.

I wanted to.  I really did.  But all I said was "Reckon not."

So what was that all about?

Seriously though it's a number of things to choose from.  In general, law enforcement officers are just dickheads.  They deal with constant bullshit on a daily basis, they are tasked with being on the front line with the mental health crises (that is much more than just old people with dementia) and many many of them don't have the psyche it takes to be effective at the job because the pay isn't there.

He could have been working on a traffic safety grant where he must make two contacts per hour and hadn't seen anyone in a while.  Told you the radar said 78 because people rarely pay attention to how fast they were really going.  It's an easy warning contact.  You questioned, pissed him off, went from there.

He could have not even had a radar, guessed you were going faster than the speed limit and just threw a number out there.  Checked you for warrants, seen you didn't have any and let you go.

Or he could have just been a real asshole who likes to fuck with people because he's a piece of shit as a human being and wants to be on the radio making traffic stops all night.

I'm the first person who will argue against a use of force claim of brutality because as bad as the state of law enforcement is in this country, I don't believe cops or deputies go around beating the shit out of people for no reason nor do I believe they murder people in cold blood just because they can.  BUT, there are some real piece of shit human beings wearing a badge who are just that.

It's probably a good thing for you that you didn't decide to get arrested.  He got you out of that car for a reason.  He wanted you to be standing directly in front of that vehicle camera if you decided you wanted to curse or do anything else that would give him a lawful reason to bury your dick in the dirt and take you to jail.

Oh, I'd decided.  If there was a ticket I was going to go full "bad boys bad boys, whatcha gonna do..." on it.

I had not even considered the dash cam, though.  I was definitely in full view.

There's a lot of bitching about people running fast on that road.  I pass two or three a night on the way from her house to mine.

All the more reason, you should help her move out of Prichard.

Where else are we going to find a home with boarded over windows, glittering glass shards in the yard and the smell of electrically fried roaches all for under $200,000?

My doctor told me I needed to stop masturbating.  I asked him why, and he said, "because I'm trying to examine you."
