Playoffs? Playoffs?

NFL playoffs cranking up. Falcons surprisingly handled the Seasquawks. I know the Dirty Birds have the #1 offense in the NFL, but I hated this match up. I can't think of a team I'd rather play less than Seattle. They always find some way to pull games out. Losing Earl Thomas on D makes them a noticeably different team.

Half time between the Pats and Texans. 17-13 Pats but the Texans defense is bitch slapping NE so far. Houston has a LB named Mercilus. How freakin' perfect is that? And he's a wild man out there tonight.

One thing I've noticed in these two games so far. You can tell it's the playoffs because the hitting has picked up tremendously and things have been rather chippy in both games. A lot of smack talk, tempers flaring, pushing etc. Good stuff.

Packers/Cowboys tomorrow. Then the Steelers at the Chiefs. And the weather is supposed to be horrible in KC tomorrow night. Major ice storm coming through.

Pats control the second half and cruise to the win. Good foosball today but tomorrow is must see TV if you have any passion at all for the NFL. One of my favorite QB's ever in Mr. Discount Double Check (Don't care anything about the Packers but holy damn, that guy is fun to watch) going against the young upstarts in Dak and Zeke for Dallas. Problem for GB is I believe Jordie Nelson is out. Not good.

And then the Steelers at KC in bad ass weather? Oh yeah. Definitely gonna' throw some meat on the grill, pig out and kick back to watch that one.

Honk the birds all you want but the Hawks gift wrapped that game for them. Stepping on your own qbs foot for a safety. Two special teams run backs called back for shit a mile from the run? Yeah the Hawks screwed the pooch yesterday. They ain't what they were in years past.

If you power bomb a guy at the line and hold him down so he can't get up and run down field, it's a penalty. Plus, the only reason Hester got by the first gunner was because Sherman had hold of his jersey for 10 yards. Gift wrapped? What game did you watch? 36 points. 422 yards. Beat em' handily in time of possession. Stayed on Wilson's ass all day.

when you say years past you mean more recently then i completely agree. lacking is the power run game of Lynch. no skittles no mojo. seahawks have some off season work to improve the O-line.

i think ATL still wins that game if the run backs weren't called back...Falcons all around a much better team. i'm not sure it was a giftwrap but Seattle didn't help themselves stay withing a TD or FG.

my inhertinance took a step back in the wrong direction yesterday.

i think the best game of the 4 is tonight.

The lack of Beast Mode and Earl Thomas makes a ship load of difference. The defensive stats before and after Thomas went down are night and day. And yes, the O-line needs some work. The color guy...John Lynch?...kept saying they have a lot of trouble with front sevens that do a lot of shifting and stunting. That's as much pressure as I've seen a very average Falcons defense put on someone. They only got 3 sacks because Wilson is like a greased pig.

34-31 on a last second FG. The throw Rogers made to set it up was unbelievable, which is why I want no part of that guy next week.

Don't see Atlanta advancing although they seem very similar to Dallas overall.

New England makes enough timely stops and they will do enough to stop the edge rush of Pittsburgh that affected Smith so much.

New England and Green Bay should be a good Super Bowl.

Same here, although the Steelers can not settle for as many field goals against NE. I think the Steeler D can make Brady uncomfortable enough for him to make at least one mistake. I don't see NE stopping both Bell and Brown.

Rogers is the X factor. Since he turned it on, they're scoring a TD more per game and giving up one less on D. That's skrong! Plus, he keeps on doing shit like he did yesterday to drive a stake in your heart.
