Is this our Archduke Ferdinand moment?

Eh, probably not.  But with the instability across the globe right now, who knows.

Quote
Russia's ambassador to Turkey assassinated in Ankara

A gunman shouting "Do not forget Aleppo!" assassinated Russia's ambassador to Turkey at an Ankara art gallery on Monday in what leaders of Russia and Turkey called a provocative terror attack.

Ambassador Andrey Karlov's shooting was captured in real time in photos and video that quickly spread through the Internet worldwide.
The assassination comes at a time of improved relations and increased cooperation between Russia and Turkey. Leaders of both countries vowed to not let the assassination cast a shadow over that friendship. It also comes during a pivotal moment in Syria, where Russia has been instrumental in President Bashar al-Assad's push to retake rebel-held parts of Syria.

In televised remarks, Russian President Vladimir Putin said the killing was a clear "provocation" aimed at undermining not just the normalization of Russia-Turkish relations but the "peace process in Syria" promoted by Russia, Turkey, Iran and other countries.

"The only response we should offer to this murder is stepping up our fight against terror, and the criminals will feel the heat," he said.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan echoed Putin's sentiments, saying the assassination was intended to destroy the normalization of Turkey-Russian relations.

"But the Russian government and the Turkish republic have the will to not fall into that provocation."

All it would take would be Russia using this as an excuse to attack Turkey and due to our NATO alliance we'd be obligated to defend them.  It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

For the next 30 days or so, I expect nothing more than a "cut it out."

And yet all our "president" worries about is the lie of Russian hacking.

Worst president ever.

I've never thought jimmy was malicious or that he didn't like his country. He was just very naive and ignorant to how things work. Plus he's done a lot post presidency for humanity that Barry never will.

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

I really try not to get up in arms about Obama or shit he does, but fucking really.  Cut it out?  Or fucking what?  I'd rather him not even say anything about what their conversation was about than to say, "hey, cut it out".

After a 15 minute mouth breathing speech about how impossible it is to rig elections and that Trump needed to stop whining.

During the open mic from a few years ago I thought I heard him say he thought his dad could beat up Putin's dad.
