Rudy needs a job.

Gowdy is needed on Capitol Hill. As is Cruz and Lee as much as I'd love to see either on the Scotus.

The two that have been officially announced is Reince Priebus as Chief of Staff, which I think is very good, and Steve Bannon (The CEO of Breitbart.com) as Chief Strategist, which I think is very bad.

Why?

Because you read the Huffington Post?

This is from David Horowitz

I can’t think of anything stupider than the charge coming from all quarters of the left–including a headline in the pathetically wretched Huffington Post–that Bannon is an anti-Semite. The source? A one sentence claim from an angry ex-wife in divorce court no less, that Bannon didn’t want their kids to go to school with Jews. I find that particularly amusing since Bannon wanted to make a film to celebrate this Jew’s life.

Not to be outdone, CNN, which has been particularly vicious, did a nasty attack on Bannon using another of the thinnest reeds available: This was a headline at Breitbart.com calling Bill Kristol a “renegade Jew.” In fact, neither Breitbart nor Bannon is responsible for that statement. A Jew is. I wrote the article, which was neither requested nor commissioned by Breitbart. And I wrote the headline: “Bill Kristol, Republican Spoiler, Renegade Jew.”

I wrote the article when Kristol set out to lead the “Never Trump” movement, after Trump had secured the Republican nomination. I would write it again in a heartbeat. I would write it the same way and with the same headline. Bill Kristol and his friends betrayed the Republican Party, betrayed the American people, and betrayed the Jews when he set out to undermine Trump and elect the criminal Hillary Clinton. Obama and Hillary are supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood, the organization that launched the Arab drive to destroy Israel and push its Jews into the sea (that was their slogan).

If Obama and Hillary had their way, Egypt’s leader al-Sisi would be overthrown, the Brotherhood would be back in power, and Israel would be facing a threat from the biggest military power in the Middle East and almost  certainly at war with Islamic terrorists who openly call for the extermination of the Jews

Disagree totally.

Both are good at both of those jobs respectively. Bannon is a policy guy. Preibus is a baby kisser and bridge builder. I see both as good choices. And both choices also please all factions. I didn't like preibus after 2012 but credit where due. He put together a great game and navigated choppy waters this year which was almost an impossible task with trump vs the establishment.

No. Because I have been witnessing the depravity that Breitbart.com has become after Andrew died, and he's chiefly the cause of it.

He is just below Alex Jones and just above Sean Hannity in terms of credibility from a right-wing propaganda standpoint.

I want Gowdy as Attorney General and Newt as Dept of State.  I think Carson needs to be involved, either Dept of Health and Human Resources or Surgeon General.

Leave Christie and Palin at the bus stop.

I like it better when Andrew was alive but I don't think that means it's all bad. They put out a lot of Propoganda I didn't care for this past cycle but whatever. I'm over it. I do think a lot of what we saw with breitbart and trump was considered "doing what was necessary" to ensure 2012 didn't happen again. Beating the daily kos, huffington post and the left at their own game. And they did. I believe they consider the ends justifying the means.

Ben would be better served at hhs. There is real power in that position. Surgeon general is largely a mr Rogers for the medical world on behalf of the potus.

This term almost always is used to justify something inexcusable. This is no different.

Meaning they did what was needed even if at face value they didn't mean it. Outfoxed the fox. The left is dirty. Some may consider it thinking outside the box instead of a traditional approach. Is it justified? Don't know. But they won. And relatively speaking many consider that better than the other side winning.

Those are the only positions where he may be a competent choice.

Unfortunately, he is apparently being strongly considered for Department of Education. The guy who has said the theory of evolution is the work of Satan and that the earth was created in six literal days. The guy who said the Big Bang was a "ridiculous fairy tale". He thinks God gave him the answers to pass a chemistry test. The guy who has repeatedly used fake historical quotes. The guy who said no signer of the Declaration of the Independence held office. The guy who wrote a history book wrought with plagiarism. The guy who said the Egyptians built the pyramids to store grain.
