I heard a so called expert mention 3 teams and he didn't say 3 or 4. I'm hopeful for at least a 5-3 or 6-2 :haha:regular season finish with two more wins in the conference tourney. That much could (might) get us enough notice to qualify.

That Florida game is the only one I think is a probable loss.  We should be able to chalk up the following as Ws: LSU, Ark and Mizz. Split the other four and we hit your mark.

Only the conference tourney winner has a ticket. Right now, if teams stay fairly consistent the rest of the way, I see 3 guarantees in South Cackalackee, Florida and Kentucky.  Arky has 17 wins and a good conference record but that loss to Mizzou definitely goes in the "Strike Against You" column.

I think the only way we get an invite is to finish 6-2 the rest of the way in the regular season and get a couple of W's in the SEC tourney.  Could happen with what's in front of us.

That was the my reasoning for asking. The Mizzou loss hurt like hell along with a couple other losses that should not have been. The non conference schedule and Ws has been stronger than I can ever remember....at least recent history anyway. For instance, the win against TCU. With that being said, I feel like all has balanced itself. Now, it's like part 2 of the season. The real make you or break you. If Auburn has any hunger to make the Dance, they best show up and show out from now until the the conference tourney.

I watched the last 2 minutes, which took 8 hours and 47 minutes in actual time.  I kept thinking, "Here we go again."  Can't dribble.  Can't throw the ball in bounds.  No plays to get it in bounds.  MSU down 9 and their guy makes a routine head fake behind the arc and Brown jumps 16 feet in the air to foul him and give him 3 free throws with about 20 seconds left.  Are we brain dead?

But then, something happened that's almost never happened the last 10 years.  We found a way to hang on.  We're actually winning those close games this year.  We're hitting enough clutch free throws and making enough plays to be 16-8 and not 10-14 like we'd have been in years past.  This team makes me want to kick puppies.  But damn, we've got a chance to make some real noise here.
