In other college basketball news, you guys know I've been a Duke Round Ball fan for over 30 years. Hey, let's face it. As an Auburn grad, if you don't jump on someone's bandwagon in basketball, you pretty much have nothing during most basketball seasons. This year? Hey...

As far as this year is concerned, the Blue Devils are as talented again as anyone in the country. Probably a legit Final 4 team. But Grayson Allen, who has had a history of punk ass play, did it again tonight. He intentionally tripped a guy and then pitched a hissy bitch fit on the bench after getting T'd up.

Coach Kryshvsinskievski did something I've never seen before. At least based on the media reports I've heard. He got with the Elon coach and had him bring the player who got tripped over to a neutral area and made Allen apologize to the guy. Damn!

Don't give a shit what people think about Coach K and Duke. In fact, K should have eaten some humble pie after his actions in the March Madness tourney last year. He may wind up being the greatest of all time, but he ain't perfect, by a long shot. But what he did tonight was what the college game should be all about. Grayson, you're a punk. Man up and make it right. He did!

I couldn't watch the game last night either, but found the radio broadcast on tunein. Really enjoyed listening to Sonny Smith, especially later in the game. He was in rare form last night, and was really riding one of the refs hard. Sounds like every horrible call was made by one particular ref in that crew and Sonny was letting the guy have it.

Also, HUGE win for the confidence of these Tigers. If they can at least play UCONN close tomorrow, their confidence should be high for SEC play.

There is so much talent on the floor for Pearl at any given moment right now. The starting lineup was FOUR freshman and Dunans. Fucking Purifoy was mostly out there as a foul-sponge, it seemed...and we still had a 17 point lead at one point.

Was nerve-wracking watching them eat into our lead all through the 2nd half (and, a true Auburn fan til my dying day, I was certain they'd cruise past our lead and steal the victory) but we held on for a win that should look much better by year's end. Lon's boys will make a little noise in the little 12.

That goddamn BC one-point-last-second loss is sticking in my craw. We would be making some national noise and might even be ranked going into conference play 11-1 with the schedule we played and our only loss to #15 Purdue.
