I tend to agree. But I do like the premise of his article nonetheless. If the complainers today don't see those major two points are the crux of it all then they are beyond help. Prowler sees it. Chad probably even sees it. I see it. This wasnt hard to figure out really.
EVEN the one guy who is avidly pro-third party can see the two major parties are a major problem? How am I not the first on the list, not an honorable mention?
I think Bernie would have done better, and while I think his economic policies are poison, I probably would have voted for him over Trump. May have wrangled me away from a third party. The DNC fucked over his supporters (who empirically were a larger group than her supporters) so badly, they said "fuck this" and just didn't show up. For the same reasons y'all are telling everyone to chill on Trump, I think Bernie, especially with this Republican congress, would never have been able to push through some of his wilder ideas like free college and $15 minimum wages. I've said this before, but actually Hillary herself started flirting with those. Which made her all of the bad parts of Bernie and none of the good. The good being his stances on free trade, criminal justice reform, ending the drug war, limiting government surveillance, being soft on gun control at worst, and actually being a decent, genuine man who believes what he says and oh yeah is not a criminal. I think with a Republican Congress with guys like Rand Paul and Mike Lee in there, there could have been a lot of good bi-partisan things done on those issues, and I think things like single payer healthcare wouldn't have had a chance.
Just sayin.
