Try 55.8% with McDonald workers making $20 minimum wage...compare that with our 39.6% and McDonald workers making on average $8.90 minimum. That's just using McDs as an example.

Ehhhh. Lot of loopholes in that model man. Aside from it being inherently flawed and raising the price of goods leading to more inflation, were also not Denmark. We have an entirely different makeup. Only half the country contributes here. In some of those countries like Denmark and Germany 98% of the population is chipping in. I don't like it but at least it makes sense economically. The numbers work.

Also someone making minimum wage here doesn't pay 40% federal income tax rate. Not even close. After deductions and other things they pay almost no effective tax rate. Even before that it's only 10 or 15%. Only the top millionaire type earners pay 39.6 here. Not good. But certainly better than Denmark.
