Can you believe people are objecting to this?  Given the way rap videos and music unload profanity left and right to get up in arms about THIS?

http://youtube.com/watch?v=FA-aSi8O3UU

Here's CNN where they're "Afraid for their child to see this because it come on during the BET countdown...."   Here are some of the songs currently in the mix to make the BET Top Ten.  I can see the reason for their concern. Wouldn't want to confuse the little darlings with positive messages.

Birdman f/ Lil Wayne & Jadakiss - "Pop Bottles"

DJ Khaled f/ T-Pain, Trick Daddy, Plies, Rick Ross, Young Jeezy - "I'm So Hood/Brown Paper Bag"

Huey - "Nobody Loves the Hood"

The-Dream - "Shawty Is A Ten"

Yung Joc f/ Gorilla Zoe - "Bottle Poppin"

Sounds like these fuckers need to read a few books if you ask me.  And I like rap music for the most part.  Sitting here listening to some old school Dre even as I type this.

I don't know why, but I find it funny that you listen to rap music.

Understood.  But I started out way back in the day with Commodores, EWF (still one of my favorite bands), Kool and the Gang, Ray Parker, George Clinton, Parliament, Dazz, Gap, Rick James, Prince and that whole genre.  It was an easy transition for me to Run-DMC, Beastie Boys, Sugar Hill, Kool Moe D, LL Cool J.  Then when it got to NWA, Cube, T, Flava and the harder stuff I sort of drifted away into Guns and Roses, Metallica mode.

I taught high school for a while at a poor school with a lot of black kids. They brought me back in.  Introduced me to the genius that is Dre. Tupac. Snoop. Diddy. Biggie.  And I still like some of it.  Some of the new stuff has gotten ridiculous, but I've gone back and picked up a lot of that earlier era.  Tipsy was a funny song and it's in the iPhone.

Sitting here with the iPhone running.  Last 15 songs played:

White Zombies:  Boogie Man
AC/DC:  Long Way to the Top
Rod Stewart: Tonight's the Night
Mos Def: I Against I
KISS: Black Diamond (Alive IV version)
Ciinderella: Don't know What you Got
Foo Fighters: Everlong
Prince: Housequake
Stevie Wonder: Supersitition
Eagles: Pretty Maids
Snoop Dog: Woof!
Ozzy Osbourne: Gets Me Through
Van Halen: Hot For Teacher
Mystikal: Bouncing Back
GnR: November Rain

It's worth noting that the next two songs my iPhone queued up after those 15 were White Lightnin' by George Jones and 'Legend of Wooly Swamp' from Charlie Daniels.  Those were followed by Linkin Park and Nelly.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

Heres a chellenge, Name the gayest song in history.

Relax by Frankie Goes to Hollywood.

(also on my iPod).

Followed by anything from Leo Sayer (two on my iPod), David Soul's "Don't Give Up on Us Baby (on my iPod), anything from the Barry Manilow collection (eight on my iPod) and a few Air Supply efforts (also three on the iPod).

I didn't count.  Was that 103 up there?
