Daphne and Spanish Fort.  The SF Toros smacked the 0-2 Daphne Trojans 26-7.

Two incredibly bad offensive teams.  Terrible. Just terrible.

Daphne didn't have a single first down until 5:00 left in the second quarter. One score on a busted play by SF that came after a penalty called back a SF punt return for a TD and gave the ball back to Daphne. 

Like the Toros were much better on offense, though.  One TD on a semi-trick play.  Another on an interception return for a TD.  Another after Daphne blew a punt snap inside its own 20.  Two FGs after short drives.  Utterly unimpressive.  It was a 13-7 game with 1:25 left in the third before the shitty snap over the punter's head threw the game away. 

Daphne was disorganized and dreadful.  Multiple delay of game penalties.  Horrible execution and preparation.   It was unbelievably bad. 

The officials sucked too.  Tons of ridiculous flags.  Just absurd shit.  And then when the Spanish Fort punt return for a TD got called back because they had 12 men on the field, you could see the head ref begging the guy who called it to wave the flag off.  He kept angrily asking the guy "are you SURE?"  You could tell what he was saying from the stands.

Took in Enterprise and Northview.   A 7A vs. 6A match up.  Northview sucks while E'prise looks damn good.  Huge O-line, tough, fast back and tons of playmakers.  Really aggressive defense too.  May not make noise on the state level but easily the class of this region. 2-0.

Fuck's sake, I watched 3 high school games yesterday. Four of the top 5 HS teams in the nation were on tv.

IMG Academy v Grayson
Bishop Gorman v Cedar Hill

Basically the rosters of these six schools are a "who's who" of recruiting.  These kids do NOT look or play like high school juniors and seniors. 

Also, worked in an OT thriller in the (1) NDSU v (6) CSU FCS game. 

Fucking solid warm-up weekend for what might prove to be the greatest (non-bowl) weekend of college football ever next weekend.

After two games, it looks like CC Cougars have some work to do on the defensive side of the ball. Although they have won both, they had to do it with offense. At this rate, I see two possible losses on their schedule. One of those may come against Gardendale. That will be a good game.
