Comparison of McCain's Age and Eisenhower's Age
« on: September 10, 2008, 01:55:36 PM »
I recently read Stephen Ambrose's biography of Dwight Eisenhower, entitled Eisenhower.

As you are probably aware "Ike" was one of the U.S.'s  more popular presidents. Ike won 58% of the popular vote in the 1952 election. He was 62 years old when he took the Oath of Office in 1953.  He had never held public office.
Although suffering a heart attack in 1955 and an attack of ileitis in 1956, Eisenhower had successfully sought re-election for a second term in 1956.

So now, 55 years later, with all the advances in modern medicine; John McCain's age (72) is now an issue as the media and DNC throw around a sick catch phrase, "Heartbeat away".

Here is a neat reference.

BTW. Ronald was 69y 11m 14d
I'll be so glad when this shit is over. It makes me sick.
